Coach Bubbles and Coach Sparkle were great. It is not easy to maintain the interest of a group of 3 and 4 year olds and they did so very well. Some of the concepts being taught may have been a bit advanced for these kids, but Kaitlyn had a great time.

I am a single working mom. I took a week off work in order for my son to attend. He deserved the chance to feel good about himself and confident enough to play sports. Some of the kids were so little, all had very minimal attention span, yet the coaches worked to keep them engaged. The one young man with the youngest group should receive an awardthe kids kept asking if they could go swing or play on the playset. He was calm and very good with them. All the coaches were great with small children. My son came away feeling like he can play sports. He had the basics, but until now he has been very inhibited and afraid to join in. Great camp! Being a PE teacher, it always frustrates me when kids are standing around or in large group activities where little learning is occurring. These two girls took a child that can hardly leave his brother’s side and made him realize that he could have fun without him. Eriq does not like soccer or basketball all that much and though he did not want to participate, they made him still feel like part of the team. They took time to guide each child through the day and gave each child that little push whenever needed. Kate and Katrina were great. No child could ever ask for a better set of people to work with our kids. Thank you to the Skyhawks and to the girls for their time and high level of energy. Matthew participated in basketball camp. He couldn't stop talking about his experience and indicated he had a lot of fun. In fact, I had asked him if he wanted to take Friday morning off to go to a Blue Angels event. After much discussion he wanted to attend the last day of basketball camp more than attending the Blue Angels eventwhich says to me that his camp counselor was doing a great job in keeping him interested. He liked camp a lot and really liked his counselor.

The best thing about Skyhawks for my son is that every participant is important to the coaches. Nathan is not a great basketball player and probably won't be; however, his coaches still know him and encourage him. Skyhawks coaches care about all the kids, not just the ones who are good at the sport. This was the third year that "Big Jon" was here and he remembered my kids from the previous years, which meant a lot to them.

The first couple of days I was not sure that this was a good idea Kyle is shy and small for his age and seemed to be a little "lost" in his group. By the third day, he appeared to be more engaged and smiling more and is somewhat excited to go back for the last few sessions. I really appreciated the coaches using his first name and engaging him so well. Particularly “Big Ben" made Kyle feel at home and comfortable at Basketball.

The directors and coaches were great at fostering noncompetitive teamwork, positive feedback, encouragement from team and coaches, and skill building with the kidsand the kids all had fun!! I signed the kids up for this camp so that they would gain the skills and knowledge to survive organized sports in school. I never dreamed that the camp or organized sports could be so much fun. This was Noah's first camping experience and he had a great time! The coaches were well organized and enthusiastic. There seemed to be equal time spent on all three sports (I did not know baseball was going to be one of the sports included but was happy, as was my son, who loves all sports). The coaches made sure all kids checked in and out of the gates. They were energetic and encouraging to all of the kids and seemed able to handle everyone, even those who were a little less focused and distracted. It was a good experience this week.
