Description:
Skyhawks Track & Field was developed to introduce young athletes to this sport rich in tradition and history. These programs combine technical development and fundamental techniques with safety and a major focus on fun! Using special equipment, our excercises and drills will prepare athletes for a future in cross-country, track and field events, distance running, while inspiring a love for running and being active. The fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper streching, and cool-down techniques are all covered in this unique program. participants will put it all together for one fun-filled day at the end of the week at the Skyhawks track meet!



Ability:

At the beginner ability level, kids learn fundamentals and more about sports. Emphasis is placed on understanding the rules and etiquette of the game through creative and constant participation. Skill development is taught through an introduction of drills, skill-building exercises, and scrimmages. Limited prior experience is helpful. A desire to build a sport foundation is a plus.

Lunch, Snack & Water Bottle (for programs over four hours), Two Snacks & Water Bottle (for programs four hours or less)

Appropriate clothing, water bottle, running shoes and sunscreen.
