Youth Volleyball Programs Give Kids a Great Opportunity to Develop

Every parent wants the best for their kids. Most of all they want them to grow up into happy, healthy adults. Unfortunately, it’s not always exactly clear how to help their development. Participation in a youth sports camp during the summer months could be exactly what you are looking for. If you want your kids to stay active while developing life skills you should consider a Skyhawks Sports youth volleyball camp. Skyhawks Sports’ youth volleyball program is a supervised day camp with activities five days a week. There are four program lengths available, ranging in length from two hours, to six hours. There is a program which meets two hours a day, and it is a recreational approach to the sport. In this volleyball camp kids are taught the basic skills and rules of volleyball. During the day the kids will practice drills, and play scrimmages. There are also three, four, and six hour long programs are for kids interested in developing their competitive volleyball skills. These programs involve a more extensive skill study, and more scrimmages than the two hour program.

Summer Volleyball Camp Offers Many Benefits

Regardless of the program length you chose, your kids will get plenty of exercise and physical activity. This can lead to improved physical health and better coordination. Additionally, participating in Skyhawks Sports’ youth volleyball camps aid kids’ emotional and social development. For example, playing sports can be very fulfilling and encouraging for kids. Being able to develop their skills and abilities makes kids feel more confident. Knowing that they are capable of progressing and improving in a sport like volleyball can raise their self-esteem. Not only that, but playing volleyball teaches kids the value of preparation and working towards a goal. Preparing for a volleyball match involves a great deal of preparation and anticipation. Being able to prepare for a game will help kids understand how to prepare for a test or any of life’s other challenges. Another important aspect of Skyhawks Sports’ summer programs is that they help kids build their social skills. For example, playing a team oriented sport like volleyball helps teach kids the value of teamwork. When kids see how valuable teamwork is in volleyball, they will carry over their respect of teamwork to life outside of volleyball. Another skill kids learn while playing volleyball is respect for others and respect for authority. During a practice or game kids have to listen to their coaches to be successful. They also have to respect the players on their team, and the opposing team. This helps teach kids to respect all people, regardless of relationship.

Testimonials:

The Skyhawks coaches were wonderful with the kids. I watched the interaction and they taught valuable skills and made sure the kids were always safe. Jaiden enjoyed this program; my only regret is that I did not know about it sooner so she could have attended more volleyball camps. The kid-to-coach ratio was awesome. Jaiden will definitely be going to camps next summer. Awesome job Skyhawks!
