Skyhawk Sports Academy is adhering to COVID-19 procedures and protocol for this year’s in-person summer camps. Dependent on local county and state guidelines, summer camp programs will be adjusted differently in each region. Programs will either be run in an outside setting or indoors with restrictions on group numbers. Even though traditional camps will be performed differently, the Skyhawks team is making safety the #1 priority while still implementing programs for each child to improve their confidence levels, sports skills, and instill a passion for an active lifestyle.
The following four levels have been developed to ensure that all regional and state safety guidelines are being met.
- Level 1: A traditional camp format but with additional policies
- Level 2: Isolated groups with limited participant interaction
- Level 3: Isolated groups with a modified social distancing curriculum
- Level 4: Only virtual programming offered
Skyhawks is closely monitoring CDC guidelines regarding youth sports and camp policies and will make adjustments as needed. Skyhawks will also be checking to make sure that no participant, staff member, or family-related member has been contracted with sickness within 14 days of the camp start date. If during the camp a staff member or participant tests positive for COVID-19, the program will immediately be canceled and all participants and partnering organizations will be notified.

A six feet apart policy will be upheld for all check-in/check-out procedures in addition to mandated masks for both parents and participants during these processes. Beginning of the camp parent orientation meetings will be held outside in compliance with social distancing.
There will be no peer to coach interaction and all equipment will be sanitized between uses. Hand washing practices will also be enforced along with no snack or food sharing. While Skyhawks is working hard to minimize the spreading of any sickness, we do recommend that any at-risk groups do not drop-off/pick-up participants, participate in programs, or instruct programs.
We look forward to working with your child as a camper this summer!
